Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp is in the Mabula Private Game Reserve.  Five intimate tents offer an unforgettable bush experience.  Each luxurious tent has private viewing decks, stone baths and is linked from the central dining and lounge via sand walkways.  Your safari experience is one of intimacy where personalised service is the order of the day.  With only 10 people in camp at any time, your chances of experiencing game sightings close by are heightened, especially with the camp being positioned within Rhino territory.

 Offering spectacular golden plains, breathtaking sunsets and Big 5 game viewing, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp, "Place of the Giant Eagle Owl", is the ideal location for a starry-eyed getaway. Discreetly tucked away in the tree line on the edge of the magnificent Mvubu plain, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp pampers its guests in five luxury canvas tents, where romantic oil lamps and home prepared meals served in the thatched Lapa add to this unique 'Out of Africa' experience.

Location

The Waterberg Mountains, outside Bela Bela are renowned for being the back-drop to some of South Africa’s most renowned game lodges, including Mabula Game Lodge. Ideally located 2 hours from Johannesburg and 90 minutes from Sun City, Mabula Private Game Reserve boasts 12 000 ha of ‘Big Five’, malaria free private game reserve.

Accommodation

 Five luxurious en-suite tents, all raised on platforms and offer generous space between them, maximizing privacy at all times. Located on the tree line of an open plain, the tents’ interiors have been designed spaciously, and soft furnishings follow the lines of strong hues of rich African colour. The bathrooms boast a large stone bath and deluxe shower rose, both of which offer views overlooking the bush. Each tent enjoys a private deck overlooking an open plain allowing for game sightings up close and personal, especially with the camp being positioned in territory that is renowned to be home to Rhino.  For those guests who are true romantics, a private deck dinner is a must as too is a breakfast picnic in the fresh early morning air.

The Waterberg mountain range snugly cradles the renowned Mabula Private Game Reserve, which is home to a mosaic of exceptional scenic landscapes as well as an abundance of wildlife species.  Game viewing is at its best against a backdrop of rivers, streams and stretches of open vistas.  Mammal species include big game such as elephant, lion, white and black rhino, hippo, leopard and buffalo. African python and the Nile crocodile are also resident in the reserve which is a birdwatchers’ paradise as well.
